Currently we are in need of funds to support development of a new HIV/AIDS prevention program in another region of Kenya. Grants previously obtained to help fund the Makindu project are not applicable to this new program, and thus we will rely largely on donations to provide funding for our continued HIV/AIDS prevention efforts.

Contributions to IT HELPS, which are tax deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code, will be used to pay salaries to peer educators trained for this new project and to purchase supplies utilized in the community workshops. No salaries are paid to the president, secretary, and other board members of IT HELPS, all of whom serve on a voluntary basis. Over 90% of all funds donated are directly applied to our educational efforts in Africa.
